A rite of passage, or a closing the passage. A point in time that things change. A passage that defines the boundaries of childhood and adulthood. Without knowing things have changed things do change. How can it be that offering a helping hand is seen as a good omen? What benefit is there in stunting growth? When all involved essentially stop developing.
