The sound a bell makes

What makes the bell. Is it the outer casing, or is it the clapper?

asking to feel regret during Lent

Seeing myself without a mirror. I can see the cruel person I can become. Instances I react to. Why I feel it is justified is selfish. Am I blind to a better solution. I destroy myself either way. To be Christ like we are called to service. Why does it make me feel hollow, empty. It isn't just the wrong choice which brings regret. I think regret is always available. Regret is the least talked about emotion. Regret is difficult to explore.

oppression

Petrichor, Crepuscular ray.  Terms invented to describe phenomenon that aren't inventions.

Knock knock.

The thing about becoming a hermit. Some of the things you find enjoyable cease to exist while we are away. They get lost in history never to be found again. The world has changed profoundly. A weird feeling was created by observing outside.

Peppertree in the rain

branches move out of the way to let the water flow. Like dancing to music in your mind. The times in life when reality seems unbearable. The moments with the most possibility.

vagary

To dream a dream and it seems like life. When I wake it starts to seem impossible. Why does the dream world fill all the places that create doubt when awake.

Cain offers God bitten fruit

Cut above the roots. After death it will be on display. Dressed up and adorned with trinkets, crafts and electric lights. I have to assume the wood will be cut up and put to use in some way when the holiday season ends. Is the tree able to understand the humans crunching around in the forest means it is being hunted. The church will admit the tree is chosen most importantly for it's shapeliness? I don't think so. The church will remove one old healthy tree to plant 40 other trees. 40 trees that have no way of surviving in close proximity to each other. Playing scientist, playing god. The angels in the forest watching the adventure. Kill all that is beautiful, man knows a better way. A continual failure known in the natural world by a different name. Created in man's world to prevent truth.

dust devil, the dance of life

I see dust devils through my day, while driving around this valley. Dirt runners, swimming along in the air. Without water the clay is dust. From dust, to clay, the hand of God created.  Breathed life into clay nostrils. The breath of God is our soul. The dust devil, dirt runners. Continue to mimic the double helix dance of life.

Smoke From A Distant Fire

The fire and wind teamed up to create a stunning display. By using the mountain the wind was able to disperse the smoke toward the sky in a nice variation. It was not the typical straight thin line.

fortunetly

The sun and clouds made the hills look interesting.  Not just part of the water cycle. Depth and dimension. Light and dark.  Others have seen these views.  Beyond the hills known as the Three Sisters.  Is a carved rock called the Mazestone.  Chiseled stone?  People who hadn't left the stone age living in stick huts hunting with branches weaving baskets.

Off limits, out of bounds, no man's land

This was an area beyond where the tour guide took us.  Some places are not established for visitors. Interesting how we all liked this area the best. Not just the area within the garden, also the area beyond the fence.  We were able to see out from the safety of the garden.  An area equal in beauty as the finely crafted sitting area where we stood.  The trees cut back to keep them small to not spoil the view.  The wild area that maintained it's own allure without constant human pampering.  The evidence was powerful, the law of nature has consequences.   Balance is maintained.
